If you are looking for something a bit different, look no further. Amber Cottage occupies a peaceful and privileged location in the National Park to the west of St Davids cathedral and less than a mile from the sea. It is the most westerly B&B in Wales, with panoramic views of Pembrokeshire’s spectacular coastal scenery.

Directions from the centre of St Davids [Cross Square]
Take the first exit (Goat St) from, signposted to Porth Clais harbour. Follow the road down past the Farmers Arms. Goat St becomes Catherine St which in turn becomes Lower Moor. Amber Cottage is on the right just before the houses peter out.

Accommodation
Built in the 1800’s and extended in the 1900’s, Amber Cottage enjoys stunning sunsets - best appreciated from the patio where families of house martins nest in the eaves throughout the summer. Views of Ramsey Island and the historic hills of Carn Llidi and Clegyr-Boia lay to the back of the cottage and Skomer Island and St Davids Cathedral can be seen from the front

         

Amber Cottage is a small friendly and comfortable B&B. Although tiny from the outside, it has 1 double room, 1 twin room and 2 single rooms. All bedrooms, except smaller single room, have wash basins. All have colour TV, tea/coffee making facilities and clock/radio. The main bathroom, with bath, shower, bidet and WC, is on the first floor, and there is a separate WC and shower room on the ground floor.

The guests’ sitting room / breakfast room overlooks the garden and has beautiful views from the patio doors.

A highchair and cot are available.

Food
Most breakfast ingredients are local and/or organic produce. Typical Amber Cottage breakfast fare is egg, bacon, sausage, mushroom and grilled tomato, with cereals or porridge and unlimited tea, coffee, juice and toast. Every effort is made to meet your choice though, and vegetarians and other people with special dietary requirements are very welcome.
Packed lunches are available on request.

Parking / bicycles
Parking is not a problem at Amber Cottage. There is off-road parking at the front and unlimited on-road parking directly outside. There is secure covered space available for bicycles, surf boards, etc.

Smoking
Amber Cottage ia non-smoking bed and breakfast, but smokers are welcome to use the covered area at the back of the house.
