ST DAVIDS ECO CITY GROUP
- Initiates and/or supports projects which enhance local sustainability.
- Is open to all in the St.Davids area.
- Meets the first Tuesday of the month in the Grove Hotel.
CURRENT PROJECTS:
BIO-DIESEL
Members pay £150 deposit which give them a key to the Bio-Diesel pump supplying local recycled cooking oil.
PLASTIC
Members buy dedicated bags which they fill with any clean household plastic which are then collected for onward processing.
ORGANIC COTTON BAGS
The group sells organic cotton bags to reduce plastic bag use.
FAIR TRADE
The Group maintains St.Davids as a “Fair Trade City”.
TRANSPORT GROUP
Is currently working on a safe walking route from St.Davids to Whitesands.
Electric car charging points are also being investigated.
ORGANIC FOOD
An Organic Community Agriculture Scheme grows weekly veg for 20 + participating families.
ALLOTMENT GROUP

BEACH CLEANING
Members have adopted local beaches under a ‘Keep Wales Tidy’ scheme.
ART
The group has commissioned art work to be displayed in St.Davids that provokes thought and conversation about sustainability.
ECO TRAIL
A self-guided walk around interesting local Eco sites is currently under revision.
COMMUNICATIONS
The Group has this web page, a presence at local events, regular features in the St.Davids Newsletter and holds occasional film shows.
