Historic site up for auction

Post by catweazle » Sun Jun 11, 2006 8:16 am

A very important battle site is up for auction at the end of this month. The battle of Pilleth at Bryn Glas hill was a resounding victory for Owain Glyndwr against the English forces which greatly outnumbered the Welsh.

I would urge all who are interested in preserving this site to e-mail our assembly members appealing for the assembly to buy or give help in obtaining this hill for us and future generations of Welsh people. England and Scotland commemorate their historic sites of importance with monuments and walks etc; why shouldn’t we?

Who care not for Prince or for Queen
Who will haul down the Red White and Blue boys
And hoist up the Red White and Green.
