who was Herbs???

Post by the beast » Sun Jan 22, 2006 2:09 pm

T'other night as i was in my cups and chatting to an interesting elderly person over a small libation, i was informed that this was the site to visit to chat to an anomaly named HERBS, any information re the subject, i was told he may have been a cousin from one of the dominions.

Be safe.

Herbs was a few years ago a regular and stimulating contributor to these columns, whose missives stopped something over a year after 9/11. To a degree you are right about the Dominions, as he is an American citizen living on the Eastern seaboard.

He is a good man and a force in his Church. When, as I did after years of communications on this Board, you got to talk with him directly, it was possible to form a fine bond with him. I recall particularly his acknowledgement of my note on the first anniversary of September 11th. It is a source of regret that he no longer offers his thoughts here : I have tried to contact him since then, and Mr. Webjanitor has, too, if I recall aright, but without success.

If you are watching us, Herbs, the yellow ribbons are still on the trees !
