Park House is ideally located for families as it is within a stones-throw of the supermarket, Post Office, and a well equipped children’s play park. It is close to local beaches: one mile from Caerfai Bay (a beautiful secluded and safe cove), and two miles from Whitesands Bay (a long sandy beach renowned for surfing). The house was built in the 19th century of the same purple Caerfai sandstone used in the Cathedral. It is cosy and welcoming but has been imaginatively renovated on three levels, and tastefully furnished. Stone walls have been exposed or painted white and the floors are stripped boards with rugs. It has a spacious feel, with areas for entertaining, watching TV, or quiet reading. Full gas-fired central heating and a multi-fuel stove in the sitting room make it warm on the coldest days.
Our aim is that you feel welcomed and at home. We have done our utmost to ensure that the house is well decorated, with fixtures and fittings that make it a home rather than just a temporary bolt-hole. It should be cleaned to a high standard by our caretaker.
When you arrive there is tea, coffee, milk and sugar, and for later a bottle of Cava. The house should be warm and the fire ready to light. We supply basics as a starter: dishwasher tablets, clothes washing tablets, washing liquid, and general cleaning products. Hand, bath towels and bath mats are included in the price. There are hair dryers in both first floor bedrooms. A highchair and cot are available on request.

Kitchen and dining area
There is a well-equipped character kitchen / diner with seating for 6 people. The open-plan design is ideal for entertaining. There is a fridge, freezer, and compact dishwasher, range cooker with extractor fan, microwave oven, electric kettle and toaster.


Sitting room
This is cosy with exposed beams and the multi-fuel stove for use on chilly nights. There are two leather sofas and a TV with, Sky Freesat, a surround-sound home entertainment system, DVD / CD players.

Bedroom 1
There is a 4’6’’ double bed with a chest of drawers and wardrobe. The room has a pleasant outlook with sink, shaving point, two sash windows, and black-out blinds.
Bedroom 2
There is a 4’6’’ iron double bed with a chest of drawers and wardrobe. The room has double aspect windows, and black-out blinds.


Landing
This is light, spacious, and opened to the loft and third bedroom. It is ideal for lounging and reading.

Bathroom
This has a white suite with bath, tiled shower cubicle with Mira shower, sink, toilet and extractor fan. There is a gas fired on demand, combination boiler for the heating and water systems.

Third Bedroom
This has two single beds, a hanging rail for clothes and under-bed storage. There is a TV and integrated DVD with Sky Freesat fed from a separate digibox to the lounge so that different channels can be watched in the lounge and third bedroom. The room is well lit by skylights and a fire escape Velux.


Outhouse
Automatic washing machine, tumble drier and second fridge freezer, and a hose for rinsing wetsuits or sports equipment and hooks to dry wetsuits. There is enough space for two adults’ bikes to be stored at night. The passageway at the rear of the house can be used for storing surfboards, windsurfers etc.
Garden
The garden is approximately thirty yards from the house, accessed via a right of way across our neighbour’s garden. It is completely secluded, laid to lawn with mature trees and shrubs and enclosed with a gate. There is a patio with a table and chairs, parasol and barbecue. It is an ideal place for getting away from it all - a real sun-trap.
Parking
Parking is available on New Street although this can be limited in season. We have an arrangement for visitors which will be explained on booking.

- No pets
- No smoking under any circumstances
- No singles groups
- A non-returnable deposit of 30% is required on confirmation of booking and the remainder is required 8 weeks prior to booking date.
- Bed linen, hand, bath towels & bathmats are included (please bring your own tea towels and beach towels)
- Gas and electricity are included in the price.
- Changeover will be on 4.00pm on day of arrival and 10.00am on day of departure
- Changeover day is Saturday
Cancellation
On confirmation of the booking, you are liable for the balance of the total cost should you have to cancel the holiday. We respectfully advise that you take out holiday cancellation insurance.
